A wider cooktop

The GCCE3670AD is a 36″ electric cooktop in the Gallery series. Check the label for its market status. The extra width gives more zones than the 30″ cooktops, which also means more elements, more switches and a bigger glass surface to look after.

Where the width matters

A 36″ cutout is cut into the counter, so replacing a failed cooktop with a different width usually means counter work. That is why repairing the existing unit is often the practical path. Check the cutout and the cabinet below when you plan a repair.

Code reading

Cooktop controls sometimes show a code on the display. The Frigidaire cooktop HE error code entry says a steady HE with the zone cold and off means a temperature sensor defect. Note which zone showed it.

Safety

If a chip becomes a crack, stop using the cooktop and switch off its breaker. A burning smell or arcing noise means power off at once, then a call to us.
