Frigidaire Range F93 Error Code

VERIFIED

Error code F93
Appliance Range

Reading F93

The door has stayed locked past the permitted maximum when F93 appears. It is classed as a door lock issue and is shown by current ovens managed by an electronic oven control (EOC).

Why nothing on the oven responds

With the door and panel locked, no cooking function can be reached. Pressing UNLOCK and heeding the screen produces a code that releases them both. A break in power lasting up to 30 seconds, made at the plug or breaker, is the follow-up, and Frigidaire says that clears most false codes.

Technician checks, in order

  1. Wiring from the EOC to the lock motor micro switch.
  2. The latch assembly, and whether the latch cam or the rod and cam of the lock motor bind.
  3. An open lock motor coil. Likewise a micro switch left open so that the motor never stops: the lock motor assembly is then replaced.
  4. The light switch of the oven door, replaced if open.
  5. The EOC, when nothing before it explains the fault.
