The F90 message
F90 is a door lock issue. It means the oven door stayed unlocked beyond the maximum time the control allows, and it turns up on current wall ovens and ranges whose control is an electronic oven control (EOC).
Frigidaire’s two owner moves
Tap UNLOCK, then act on the screen’s instructions. A code is displayed that frees both the door and the control panel.
No luck? Pull the plug or trip the breaker, leave the oven dead for up to half a minute, then restore it.
Frigidaire describes the power cycle as the cure for most false error codes. While the door and panel remain locked, cooking functions stay out of reach.

Sibling door lock codes
Excess unlock attempts are F91. An open door left too long is F92, and a lock held too long is F93. Older controls speak of switch positions instead, as F8 / F9.
Frigidaire range service in San Francisco
An F90 oven that stays locked in San Francisco or elsewhere in the Bay Area can be booked on (415) 319-6371. Mention the code, the model number and whether UNLOCK and the power reset were tried. See Frigidaire range repair too.
Model compatibility: Frigidaire reuses codes across series and model years, so F90 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
F90 means the maximum oven door unlock time was exceeded, a door lock issue.
Important safety warning. Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
