Reading code 71
Code 71 is the right-hand counterpart of 31: a generator-internal synchronization error in the induction housing assembly, on the right cooking zones. Service data sheet 318200282 Rev B includes it for the earlier 30-inch ceramic-glass induction cooktop.
Corrective actions
Cables and connectors on the Right Side Generator Circuit Board are all checked, and any defective one is replaced.
The board itself is the second remedy.
Since it is board-level work, keep the right zones off and let a technician handle the cooktop.
Call (415) 319-6371 for help with 71 in San Francisco or across the Bay Area. Note the code, the model number and anything you tried. See Frigidaire cooktop repair.
Model compatibility: Frigidaire reuses codes across series and model years, so 71 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
