Frigidaire Range F30 Error Code

VERIFIED

Error code F30
Appliance Range

Quick facts

  • Shown as: F30.
  • Meaning: the oven sensor probe connection is open.
  • Found on: current Frigidaire ranges and wall ovens with an electronic oven control (EOC).

How to reset the oven

  1. Pull the range’s plug and leave it out for 30 seconds before plugging in again.
  2. If the plug cannot be reached, flip the breaker at the fuse box off and on instead. Anything else on that circuit resets too.

A bad sensor is not guaranteed

The fault code sheet cautions that a displayed code does not prove a part has failed. F30 can also result from a loose connection, a faulty harness between the control and the sensor, or a sensor that has come unplugged.

What a technician does

  • Compares probe resistance with the RTD chart.
  • Replaces the probe when its reading does not match.
  • Inspects the harness that runs between the control and the probe connector.

Related codes

  • F31 is the reverse fault, a shorted probe.
  • F3 covers an open or shorted RTD sensor.
  • F4 is the older-model shorted sensor.

San Francisco repair for Frigidaire ranges

If F30 persists after a reset, a visit in San Francisco or across the Bay Area can be arranged on (415) 319-6371. Keep the model number and a note of the reset close by. Details are under Frigidaire range repair.

Model compatibility: Frigidaire reuses codes across series and model years, so F30 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.

Plain language

What this code means

F30 is an open probe connection, so the control cannot read the oven sensor.

Important safety warning. Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
