Error codeF14
ApplianceRange
What F14 reports
F14 tells you the display tail is either absent or not plugged in. Frigidaire ranges and wall ovens built around an electronic oven control (EOC) use this code.
Order of the technician’s work
Press the P12 ribbon connector tail firmly home again.
Swap in a new control should F14 come back.
Swap in a new touch panel if the code still persists.
Opening the control is not an owner task, so leave it closed.
Look-alike displays
If the panel shows something close, compare F13 (bad EEPROM identification), F12 (bad micro identification) and F11 (shorted keypad).
Frigidaire range service, San Francisco
A booking for an F14 oven in San Francisco or elsewhere on the Bay Area side goes through (415) 319-6371. Please quote F14 and the model number; the Frigidaire range repair page has more.
Model compatibility: Frigidaire reuses codes across series and model years, so F14 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
F14 means the control's display tail is missing or not connected.
Important safety warning. Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
