Error code39
ApplianceCooktop
Why 39 appears
Display 39 signals a configuration mismatch: the control board (ESEC-UIB) and the induction housing assembly disagree about their setup. Per the sheet, it happens when one of the cooktop’s two induction housings is replaced. The sheet is 318200282 Rev B, for the earlier 30-inch ceramic-glass induction cooktop.
Steps, in order
Cut power for 30 seconds, then restore it.
If 39 shows up again, check that the good ESEC-UIB is the one installed in the cooktop.
Key sequence to resolve it: keep WARM pressed down the whole time. Tap and hold the right front zone ON key until it beeps, let that key go, then do the same with the left front zone ON key. After its beep, the configuration begins.
If the error still persists, the filter circuit board is replaced.
Cooktop service in San Francisco after a housing swap
Since 39 follows a housing replacement, call (415) 319-6371 and say whether one was recently changed, along with the model number. We cover San Francisco and Bay Area homes; read Frigidaire cooktop repair.
Model compatibility: Frigidaire reuses codes across series and model years, so 39 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
