Error codeE65
ApplianceDryer
E65 defined
When the high limit thermostat has tripped more often than it should, the dryer posts E65. The code is described in the 1302 sheet (137559700C) and the 1202 sheet (137265000B).
Three listed causes
First on the list: a heavily restricted vent.
Second: the high limit thermostat itself is defective.
Third: the inlet thermal limiter has tripped, which only electric models have.
To get E65 diagnosed, go to Frigidaire dryer repair or call (415) 319-6371. Bay Area customers should have the model number ready and say whether the dryer is gas or electric.
Model compatibility: Frigidaire reuses codes across series and model years, so E65 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
E65 means the high limit thermostat trip count is too high.
Important safety warning. Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
