Error codeH or HI
ApplianceRefrigerator
When H or HI blinks
The temperature reading flashes HI and a tone sounds. Frigidaire uses this alert when the refrigerator or the freezer has been warmer than it should be for more than one hour. A door left standing open for a long time is the usual trigger.
Steps in order
Push each door fully shut and make sure the seal sits flat.
On many models a reset follows: pull the plug for 30 seconds, then plug it in again.
If the plug is out of reach, switch the breaker at the fuse box off and on instead. That also resets everything else wired to the same circuit.
Look up your model in the use and care guide for its own details.
The separate door ajar tone
A door that stays open longer than 5 minutes makes the door ajar tone sound. Shutting the door stops it.
